Who we are
Founded in 2019 in Gampaha, GEMA is a privately held engineering firm of 11–50 people. We design work around the job: radio and microwave, structured cabling, power, minor civil, logistics, and the ICT layer that sits on top.
Success is measured the way operators measure it — uptime, quality, cost and delivery. Long relationships matter more than one-off installs. Teams work with Dialog, Mobitel, Hutch, Airtel and vendor partners including Huawei, Ericsson and ZTE.
To be the company our industries measure against in telecommunication, power, electrical and ICT — known for work that holds in the field.
Deliver complete solutions at the highest standard of quality and customer satisfaction. Expertise, current methods, client-first delivery.
Be the partner businesses return to. Exceed the scope, keep the relationship, and help clients move as the network changes.
What we do
Radio and microwave, structured cabling and ICT, power, minor civil works, and materials logistics — one contractor for operators and enterprise plant.
01
Mobile base stations and antennas, microwave links, site surveys, radio network optimisation and in-building solutions. Commissioned for coverage, capacity and clean handovers.
02
Datacenter ELV, SD-WAN and NGFW, cloud engineering, L2/L3 switch clusters, fibre provisioning, AMCs and building systems — CCTV, access control, leak detection and fire.
03
Electrical supply and connections, DC power install and test, generator and air-conditioner maintenance for sites that cannot drop.
04
Plinth and DG bases, fence, cabin and meter cubicles, brackets and poles, plus datacenter floor, rack and containment changes.
05
Enterprise hardware, routers, switches, firewalls, IoT, power materials and telco install products — stored and moved site-to-warehouse on time.
Consultation, solution engineering, cybersecurity, audit and SAP-adjacent work for organisations that need the network and the policy to match.
Practical skills programmes and campus management — including IDM Nations Campus — so the next crew arrives job-ready.
Responsible recycling programmes that cut landfill impact and keep recoverable materials in the loop.
Delivery record
Selected programmes under Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson and direct operator engagement — plus datacenter and ELV projects for enterprise clients.
Ericsson and ZTE swap, 3012 modification, L850 / 4T4R, new sites and microwave under Huawei and ZTE partners.
FDD, TDD, L900 and UMTS installation under Huawei and Ericsson. Datacenter colo migrations, telco-room networks, ODF fibre, copper/patch, ELV and cooled-aisle containment.
New installation and L900 under Huawei; FDD, UMTS and TDD with Ericsson partners.
Structured copper and fibre at MIT. Video surveillance design and install for CIC Agri. Surveillance re-implementation and maintenance for INDRA Traders.
How we work
Site, window, kit and constraints. We write a clear envelope before anyone mobilises.
Radio, power, civil and access checks. Drawings and a bill of materials the field can actually use.
Install, test, commission. Quality held to the operator and vendor standard on that programme.
As-built pack, AMC if needed, and a crew that already knows the site if you call back.
